“Chuck and I wanted to thank you for a fabulous trip.  The Cross of Burgundy trip to Italy in April was truly the trip of a lifetime.  All of your extra efforts made the trip so smooth and relaxing – we can’t imagine a trip to Italy could be any better.  We had such a wonderful time.

We especially want to thank you for making all of the special accommodations for Chuck and me.  The king size beds, the menu adjustments…I know those requests created additional effort for you and your staff and we wanted to know how much we really appreciated it.  Everyone going on the tour had spoken so highly of you during our planning, and we were certainly not disappointed.  Looking back through the pictures relives all of those wonderful memories.  I was especially impressed with the “apparent” ease that you handled those unexpected events – rockslides, closed roads, and lots of rain!  You adjusted so smoothly one would have thought you had planned for it – and we never missed an event.

The three-day extension to Rome was wonderful.  Your choice of hotel placed us right in the middle of all the “must see” attractions.  The staff at the Albergo went the “extra mile” in assuring our visit went smoothly.  They helped to arrange an additional tour package to the Sistine Chapel and recommended an outstanding restaurant near the Plaza Navona for our “last night” dinner.

“….You did a magnificent job of arranging our trip to Italy.  Thanks to your incredible planning, all of us have so many nice memories. Our first hotel set the tone for the trip.  The accommodations that followed were beautiful and complete with all the amenities we could desire.  Our city center hotels were located so that our tours and shopping were convenient and each hotel was memorable.  The sea views from the Amalfi Coast hotel were spectacular and we loved the welcoming warm staff at our hotel in Venice. 

From our beginning in Naples until our last day, you arranged exciting and interesting tours.  The tour guides you provided were knowledgeable and interesting and gave us an appreciation of the people, history, and art and culture of each location.  The coach drivers were without fail excellent drivers, very accommodating and pleasant.  Who can forget the corkscrew that appeared from the glove box of one coach at just the right moment, Marco’s musical tour, or Antonio’s photos of his beautiful wife and daughters.

And the winery visits!  What more could a group of wine appreciators ask than to taste wonderful wines, learn from the tours and vintners, and enjoy gourmet luncheons featuring perfect wine and food pairings.  It was especially nice to visit Regaleali and meet the Marquesa.  Touring her winery and gardens and finishing up with lunch in her beautiful cooking school was a special delight and I’m sure most of us came home with one of her cookbooks along with wonderful memories.  In fact, all the wineries were excellent.

We had such delicious food to from our first pizzeria to the restaurant overlooking Naples harbor to the excellent food served on Murano dinnerware by the sea.  Those of us who attended the cooking school in Venice had great fun.  In fact, we prepared several of the dishes from that wonderful menu when we had our reunion.

The sights and delights you arranged are too numerous to mention in one letter.  We can only imagine the hard work that went into putting together our trip and we are truly grateful for the experiences we shared.”

Though it did rain, we walked miles and miles.  Thank God for good shoes and an umbrella!  Locanda dell’Amorosa was outstanding and we must go back to Tuscany – was beautiful and the weather there was good.  Castellana in Chianti was lovely but it rained again – we went a day early to Venice and we are truly in love! “We have raved about our trip so much that soon our friends are going to start avoiding us.  It was a wonderful trip – you took us places we never would have been able to see on our own and introduced us to delightful people, wine, and food in Italy and France.  We asked you for a special trip and you provided one that far exceeded our expectations.

Lunch the first day at Chiusi really set the tone – it was perfect in every way.  Our lunch with Mr. Peri was a great time too and we are enjoying the olive oil we watched him dispense and cap – what a treat! Lunch at the Monsanto Estate was a serene and beautiful experience.  We felt very special to be welcomed on Sunday for our visit and tasting.   Boccon Divino was exceptional and the luncheon at La Contea, where we were joined by the Alba Rotary Club members, was outstanding.  We especially appreciate your honoring our last minute request that you arrange for the Rotary Club members to join us.  We could go on and on about the food – so many new dishes, such beautiful presentation, elegant surroundings, and attentive service.

You know of course, that we enjoyed all of the wine tastings and cellar visits.  Each had its own charm.  The Biondi Santi estate was wonderful, and the enthusiasm of Signora Vietti, the tour of her 13th century cellars, historical information, and good wine were memorable.  The warm welcome we received at the Domaine de la Motte on Confirmation Day was so nice and the Champagne cellars were very impressive.  All of the wineries you selected were of exceptional quality, historically interesting and located in some of the most beautiful countryside we’ve seen anywhere.

All of our arranged tours were led by knowledgeable, gracious guides. Elizabeth in Rome is unforgettable.  The hotels were very nice, beautifully decorated, and located well for our activities.  Roberta particularly enjoyed the nice bathrooms and hair dryers.  We also enjoyed the extra excursions to churches, towns, shopping, and of course, the Shroud of Turin.

You did a great job of taking care of us… You provided all that we asked plus much more, you enhanced our enjoyment of Italy and France tremendously, and you managed all this with calm and patience.  We were so impressed by this.

You were a pleasure to deal with in pre-planning and “giving birth” to our dream trip to Italy and France.  This was our first arranged tour of any kind and we would not hesitate to take another with your guidance.  You have set a high standard that we doubt another company could match.  We hope to take another trip with you in the future.”
